Some people here are so negative, it's like you want Bose to fail. What would that achieve other than all of us - including you - losing our jobs? If you look around, you might see that things are not as bad as they seem. There has been no announcement of layoff yet and if we're lucky, there might not be one for months to come. Relax and enjoy that time. Your mental health will thank you.

because Bose is a sh-t show
Expressing your feelings about how bad management is leading to disaster isn't wishing the company ill.
And how come every cool program gets cancelled- I heard about a flagship ECO2 speaker that was canned, a set of Frames that were to be made by Rayban cancelled, SA5 ECO2 cancelled, everything that was good/exciting is canned. But at least we have that stupid gaming headset. LOL

No announcement of layoffs yet like that is a good thing?? We are not even through month 1 of 2021. You say this like it’s a great thing. Holidays sales numbers aren’t in yet. Wouldn’t you want to be somewhere where this isn’t a topic that’s continuously brought up every 6 months?! If you are still at Bose you need to be proactive. THERE ARE opportunities out there. You can do better.
Agreed, after seeing excessive spend compared to other places I've worked at, I think Bose is great to work for until you're no longer working for them. High volatility in layoffs and then massive hiring has led to challenges which are sourced from multiple causes and competition. For a company that is maybe 50-60% of its size from a couple years ago, perhaps visibility to the entire picture might be not in view. I really hope Bose does well, but my educated guess and feedback from external networking sources that knew Dr. Bose directly is it's going to become a tiny company for a number of years and then grow again once priorities align with the industry - and hopefully not have to be sold before that happens. To be fair if you were taken out with a division being removed be it sold to flex, outsourced to China, outsourced to GBS, or part of retail your attitude might be different. I was part of retail so best of luck .....
