Are these threads real or is this just a joking forum about sears? I search the internet an all I find is that sears closed down an went bankrupt, and this is the same in Canada too btw! So why keep all the conversation going about the ideas of this store still being in existence? Is the owner so mentally confused that they go on here an act like all these people? Asking for a friend!

Burger King, the only place where you can have it your way
You could buy it and run it the way you want.
"Burger King is now owned by 3G Capital, a private equity firm"
IIRC, a PE firm is what also took Toys R Us down. Strip it for parts and walk away with bonuses.
Open, but mostly empty.
I think the staff probably spends more time dismantling empty shelves and spreading out remaining merchandise than actually dealing with customers.
Closed!! Don't believe all the other crazies out there.
Burger King is garbage too. Dirty,Poorly run, dated stores that server garbage.
Amusingly enough, it is that way for the same reason that Sears is the way it is. Managing owners who are just like Eddie.
Burger King is now owned by 3G Capital, a private equity firm. I refer to them as "The Brazilian B*stards". They have only one tool in their toolbox: buy a healthy company and then pocket more profits by cutting costs and jobs, and then cut some more. They also have very little skill at managing the companies they take over: look at the 5-year stock price chart for Kraft Heinz.
Sound familiar?
The court documents are for the old holding company, silly wabbit.
Btw. Great Burger King reference.

Don't feed into all the lies. Sears has been shut down for quite some time now! Just look at the court documents.
I guess that 90% of the Sears Hometowns gone due to Eddie's incompetence is better than 95% like Kmart/Sears. Probably because Eddie wasn't running them for a few years, otherwise they'd be dead completely.
@2xww+18RZK7YR Wrong. There are tons of Sears hometown stores. Franchised or not, they are still "Sears stores" in some form or another. Much like when you go to your franchised Burger King, or whatever, it still counts like a Burger King and is included in their store counts.
There are 58 remaining, non-liquidating Sears stores. 50 of them are full-size, and 8 are various small formats. 54 are in the US states, and four in Puerto Rico.
With all the fake news going on lately unfortunately sears fell into that as well. Yes sears has closed down completely and went bankrupt. People just cannot seem to get over it.
Why?
Stop replying to all
There are internet claims they still exist but I drove around and all I can find is vacant or repurposed stores. Pretty sure its an Internet hoax.
Why are y'all feeding the troll? Obvious troll is obvious.

True, but then people wouldn’t be able to regurgitate the same old, “Eddie has ruined countless lives”, “ Eddie only cares about making money” “Eddie is evil” “ Eddie is broke”... blah, blah blah
No.
But I hear Korvettes is making a comeback.
Eddie Lampert is still putting losses over people and losing hand over fist on real estate.
FTFY
Sears is still around sadly, Eddie Lampert is still putting profits over people and milking on real estate. Plus now they opened TransformCo Properties which is a way for them to sell off the stores and make more money on them. Larry Costello the companies spokesman is try to look like a hero and open vaccination centers in these former spots. The company is a complete joke and there selling fixtures at non liquidating Sears & Kmart stores and they have sectioned off stores and have even went as far as closing off floors of the stores due to not having enough merchandise in the stores. Its sad sinking ship at this point but sadly Eddie does not care and will milk on the real estate for as long as he can. At least leadership at Century 21 and Lord & Taylor saw the end coming and the pandemic for both department store retailers was the final nail in coffin for them
You could have just googled the Sears name and seen the website and seen some stores are open rather than start a useless post.
