I've seen engines explode before, but this one is the worst I've seen so far. A UP engine in Utah blew up so badly that mangled everything with 4 feet of of the turbo. How no one was injured in that explosion is a miracle.

When I was an engineer I use to block the crankcase overpressure button with a fusee. The key to that move was not to forget to remove it before you changed crews.
I saw a GP38 blow when someone rigged the crankcase overpressure to not pop. It blew a piston through the side of the locomotive and it landed on the adjacent track.
They need to take the UP employment appreciation locomotive to the recycle center.
It was a GE ac4400. Turbo towards rear of loco. C'mon man.
Looked like the water tank to me. Turbo is towards the front, but I'm no expert, I'm still working.
