I work in HR and just been prepped to prepare for mass layoffs by end of Jan. WPX guys are thought of as much more efficient workers than us Devon folk and any of you who have been asked to justify your role without being told you are safe are already on the chopping block. I am sure as with some of my former colleagues, I may be the one reading you your exit instructions, only to be let go myself the following week. The pe–sshaped building in the skylight of OKC really does live up to being the biggest D–k in the industry. Farewell my friends, farewell!!!!

I can’t figure out if this ‘so called’ HR person got lucky or hit the nail on the head considering what happened mid Feb. A couple of the replies here seem to be hard attempts to discredited what turned out to be at least 75% true; since technically there were layoffs and there have since been new WPX people come to DVN. Granted the poor grammar and childish put downs do not seem to be that of a genuine HR rep, but we cannot argue that he/she was right on with their prediction of layoffs.... interesting to say the least.
Certainly not legit. Not enough cow bell and certainly no mention of diversity and social justice.

I don't believe your story!
1) HR would never risk their career for a note such as this.
2) You second sentence is not an HR grade sentence.
3) HR would never waste the time to write such a note.
4) Why would HR challenge the worth of the building in such a note.
5) If there was any merit to this note it would be deleted as Devon notes disappear in about 48 hours.
What I am saying is that you are a sh–ass that got laid off in 2018-19 and still hang around this website. Probably writing this from Starbucks while getting free wifi and access to a free toilet.
