I chuckle at how M makes taking a store dark sound forward thinking. I see it as a late reaction to the fact that the store has zero customers. Which then begs the q ... is there enough demand from .COM to make that dark store a win from a fulfillment POV?

Only....most of them in the future. At lease most C & D stores.
There was no mention to convert any location to dark stores other than the two already in place. Could change of course but none right now.

Yes! they are going to convert all the stores to "dark" – liquidate, clear the stores, turn the lights off.
