They still have IT staff ? They have gotten rid of least 50% to 60% of all U.S IT workers starting since 2010 yr.
The majority been shifted between IBM and companies in India
I am hearing it will start next week for IT staff.
Remember management does not care about you.
Shut down 2 of the largest floors in Kansas City. One floor considered to be the client facing floor. Only occupy2 floors now. First floor is lobby and cafeteria and maybe 10 people. Looking to have this place closed in near future. Lease expiring and won’t renew.

Why are you posting about Bank of New York Mellon on a State Street page ???
And if your reading the posts, State Street has been doing layoffs since 2005.
1st they did them maybe ever 3 years then once 2010 came, they became yearly events.
bnym got decimated today....i'm sure we are next
Yestereday they announced they're condolidating 3 floors into two at the Channel Center at the end of the onth, so 1/13 and 1/20 sound likely.
Already has. Tick-tock.
March 12th is confirmed. Not sure if that's the first layoff date, but a large number of people in talent marketplace will be let go on that day.
Jan 13th and 20th are key dates to watch.
Hopefully it will not be that soon, but anything is possible.
