This Edison works split in Engineering is going to be an unmitigated disaster. Splitting up the engineering team seems to be against the principles of lean to me. Is this new ceo on a mission to sell off the commercial business or something?

It's obama's fault!
Will Tony run Military?
JS better be good!
Why did they move RS in?
Got to be kidding-they did not see it coming?
Remember, they hired a non-US CEO for GE Aviation, while having a former Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter (under Obama 2015-2017) on the board of GE. And, they missed that this could be an issue?
Couldn't they find someone qualified that is a US citizen? Boggles one's mind.
@bpj+18NGWX1d is right its all just about him not being a US citizen. This was a big mistake by Larry that will costs us big time to separate military. If you listen to JS and other leaders they are saying that many employees will be transferred back to aviation in 2021. GE wants to set up separate company because all the gov compliance and security. So going forward Military will be a separate company like Raytheon that was recently purchased by United Technologies.
I really think this is going to destroy one of this companies last remaining strengths.
That’s nothing. The brilliant company pulled clearance from all maintenance support teams. For the New name. That’s what happens when old college buddies hire one another from one failing company to another. They do what ever they want and don’t think about the overall consequences.
What split are you referring to? Did I miss a communication?
It’s not about selling. It’s because the new Aviation CEO is not a US citizen. The military will not allow him to have direct line responsibility for military programs. So military had to be spun off.
