Staples fort lee nj closing in May 2021
folks, get with the program, how many stores have closed in the past 5-7 years? After the failed merger with OD that was the last hope to save Staples. All the great minds & builders of this once great company (Upper Management, Merchandising, Realty, Construction, Store Planning Etc) are now all gone all but a few left over cows are milking it for what its worth with nothing to offer anymore, nothing. All changes or ideas coming in from the past years and current are from the bottom of the barrel internal folks who visit OD to get ideas, following the lead from OD. Sad.
Look at OD stock now and look at what this sinking ship has become. Good Luck!!!
it's simple math my old DM told me that if a store is making less than 300k in profit they will be shut down. Only reason my store stayed open is we got a huge rent reduction which improved profit. NY stores are huge volume but low profit because of the crazy rent. If you aren't a mil + P&MS you can have the best running best looking store and you will most likely close
