We got him cheap! Good talent doesnt come cheap. Just look at the CEO for SF who is cashing a pay check more than the revenue of the company
For all the employees at Teradata - this is no surprise. It's par for the course to experience a huge reduction in force, then sit in All-Hands Meetings weeks later listening to all the promotions & payouts happening with the ELT and their buddies only.
Everything else equal the riskier the job the higher the pay.
