Today, TIBCO announced it has successfully closed the acquisition of Information Builders, Inc. (ibi) following its announcement in October to acquire the business. The acquisition marks the addition of ibi’s data management and analytics capabilities to the advanced TIBCO Connected Intelligence platform.

tibco could not sell themselves in last two iterations, so they buy IBI to make themselves look better
What a bad acquisition for Tibco. IBI has been going downhill for years losing customers and not adapting to new technology except in their marketing slides. The only interesting part in their portfolio for Tibco futures would be iWay and its connector but even then, their pricing is still in the 2000’s range.
Does anyone really care anymore? It's only downhill from here on for tibco.
