McAfee only changes the org chart to a more flat organization before they acquire 2-3 companies during 2021.

To those who leaves now most will get good packages and new positions at other companies before end of month.

Virtually everyone responsible for the declines have left with big bags to take on bigger roles in competing organizations.

Yep. I've seen some linkedin postings from longtime employees (10+ years) saying they had been laid off. It breaks my heart to see people who put half their careers (late nights, weekends, travel away from family) into McAfee get the axe.

Not surprised. McAfee is still trying to cut its way to profitability, or at least strengthen its balance sheet in the hope of being acquired. The decline of McAfee started with it's acquisition by Intel 10 years ago. It wasn't until the spinoff in 2017 that some began to recognize that the emperor had no clothes. The brain drain since then has only accelerated it's decline.
