If you're smart, you're already looking for a way to jump ship. I don't see a bright future for anybody who stays here.

ex-NG employee here. I left about 2 years ago. I wish I had stuck it out with cr---y work assignments and being ping-ponged from project to project only to see them get their budgets cut again and again. I could have cashed in on that 20 weeks of severance pay! Dangitalltoheck!
Sounds like the poster defending NG is one of those managers or directors that has their head up their azz..
The NG top brass realized that they failed to hire/promote talent adequately over the last couple decades and something like 40-60% of staff meet retirement criteria in the next 0-10 years. So now, they’ve panicked and started to promote unqualified 30-38 years olds into directorship positions to backfill the company’s poor strategic planning. These new young narcissistic managers and directors are getting away with lying, treating staff like sh– and getting away with it (+bonus!), and are wholly ignorant of the engineering culture and teamwork/ teambuilding required to build reliable products. They take credit for others’ success and pass the blame onto subordinates. It’s like elementary school, but the teachers are rewarding the bullies.
Compared to what? Compared to all the other areospace company’s NG is a class act. The defense industry is going through tough times but NG is doing better than most! For at least the next four years it’s going to get even harder but has nothing to do with NG! Too bad people do not know how to understand facts!
Not being an alarmist, just a realist.
