It is pretty clear that we are all just a head to be cut regardless of performance. Is there any reason we shouldn't unionize like google did?

to the guy "talking to the telecomm union" - is your plan really to pay someone union dues so they can negotiate severance for you when you inevitably get laid off? GROW UP. JUMP SHIP. GET A NEW JOB.
Google's union is not a real union, is rather an organized internal lobby leveraging the protection that comes from the union form to bring forward a policy agenda
Unionize in California and go after VL and OR. These guys with the board have completely screwed the employees. The HR in Teradata has been useless.. I know most of them and they don't deserve to have a job. All they do is collect paychecks. I hope VL goes to jail for fraud. I hope other leaders in Teradata are held accountable for the fraud committed against the loyal employees of this company. VL thought he could do anything and there will be no consequences. I hope the employees file charges in one of the courts against the leadership to protect the employees while we allowed the "think big" and other experiments to ruin the company and the lives of employees.
Glad to hear this is in the table. Especially since they can pay 7m for a cro but layoff on a weekly basis
I was speaking with telecom union and they are very interested in repping us. Will share more details but the number one thing they do for us is upward negotiations on severance packages. That alone makes it worthwhile
Unionizing is useless. They don’t make your job any more secure.
Why would you go through the trouble of trying to unionize the employees of a company that is pretty clearly not going to exist in a few years. Stop being scared, just go find a new job.
why go through the headache of unionizing when you can just go find another job? And what would the union do for you? Better benefits, no layoffs, 40hr workweek all sound good but you need a financially secure entity to be able to withstand not being able to cut costs to match declining revenues.
