Now that the I have been here since before NCR crew is finally leaving, what are the odds that we get bought?

Most acquisitions are to buy the customer base. Anyone looking to buy Teradata would have their eyes on the main prize which is the very large customers that leverage Teradata in all parts of their business. The tech only becomes a concern down the track once they have those large customers and try to bring in their own tech that crumbles under the workload
Acquisitions are very often about buying customers rather than buying the technology.

Customers are up for grabs now. Patents on old solutions aren’t worth much. I assume we’ll keep circling the drain until the financials can no longer support our continued existence.
Patents AND customers
Zero. Why buy a dinosaur? Can you imagine trying to explain to shareholders why you’d want to buy Teradata?
Perhaps Microsoft, Amazon or Google would be interested to incorporate Teradata's design principles in their database. If so, they would buy the patents but not anything else.
