Costco had a store in Seattle with 150 COVID cases and they were still open. What’s your point? A virus unless you are unhealthy with a 99.995% recovery rate

You location has some bad management then.... my division is religious about masks, social distancing, and cleaning.
Also, legally we cannot give information out regarding anyone being ill. But we do contact trace. Btw... all info goes through HR, not store management. Also, how stupid are you? Take your time to answer.... We are not money hungry... we are trying to stay in business, just like every other business.

It's all on a need to know basis if they reviewed the tapes and it turns out you weren't in close contact with the person who has covid they're not going to tell you UNLESS are y'all saying they're not contact tracing and tell the proper people??

Ummm, HIPPA laws people. I get that people are concerned about COVID, but HIPPA law protects the person that contracted it.

This just happened in my store. Everyone who worked that day was exposed. Colleague was asked by management and HR not to share info. This is a disgrace.

I tested positive for covid as a red badge. I was asked not to share my positive with anyone in the store and was asked who in the store I told about it so they could somehow control the info getting out.

It’s ridiculous to “require” a mask but not enforce it in stores. I ask customers to put on a mask or wear it correctly but if they refuse that’s the end of it. They say we can only educate the customer on why they should wear a mask but if they’re not following the CDC guidelines what makes Macy’s think I can educate them. Hate it.

What state are you in? Everyone in our store, including customers, wear a mask.

Nothing will Happen to Macy’s. The whole store could get sick and won’t hit the news

From what I understand store managers are keeping quiet on the matter. Many store associates have been exposed. I know in New York you can call your local precinct, local fire dept and they will issue a heavy penalty. If in Long Island, notify your local town. Complaining is one thing but doing something about it is another. I pray for you all. Macy’s used to be a great place to work but time’s have changed

The counties (at least in my state) need Macy's and other stores to stay open and have the shoppers come in to spend their money locally. If the store closes and people go online to shop, most counties won't see a dime in sales tax. That money is what pays the salaries of the public health staff, and I'm sure they'll do what they're told.

I called the health department on my store a few weeks back on both this and another matter and they refused to come in so I went after them . They took care of the first matter and did ZERO about the complaints about covid. I have zero respect for the store manager. I had covid back when Macys was closed so it’s possible I still have antibodies but I do worry about my friends.

I totally agree about everything you said. They are absolutely money hungry. We are not told about any cases . I find out because I am tight with everybody. I care about my co workers! I see no masks or masks pulled down every single f—ing day. When I complained about my register being too crowded and that I refused to do it I was handed a donut.

Call your county health department asap.
