Epic, Cerner and Meditech are all gaining new logos but the Bees can’t get over the hump.

Why are you surprised? Worked at the company for over a decade, and it was obvious the only priorities were keeping the board happy and keeping bonuses coming for top management. The company has 800 layers of management, most of whom are clueless and keep their jobs due to friendships. Company doesn't care one bit about its customers or employees, just want those signed checks to keep rolling in. I cannot count the number of times the company made claims and promises to clients, only to pull the plug when it was no longer profitable, clients and promises be damned. Middle management and above are completely clueless and tend to be in it for their own personal glory and advancement. The company has been directionless since the moment they acquired my previous employer. The seeming mantra here is "we s—, and don't have the intestinal fortitude to make a plan and stick to it, so once we fail, which we will, we will just buy some other company with a similar product, tout its greatness, and then never make it work with our 150 other acquired and non integrated c-appy products". And the company wonders why everybody with any talent leaves, and why the stock price has always been below mediocre. Hell, in my time there, we had no less than 3 failed CEOs, numerous failed presidents and VPs, multiple turnovers of the board (rats leaving a sinking ship), countless rounds of layoffs and pointless restructures that accomplished nothing, and round after round of middle management bozos that only cared about their petty career goals. If I had to describe the company and its culture in a single word, it would be shallow.

What other company in this industry would allow a sales VP to keep their job without driving any new business over 2 years and promote that person on top of it.
