Less than two weeks remain until the mass layoffs. Some colleagues say that we should look at things positively, that is, we should be happy that we will finally be leaving this company. It doesn't comfort me because I’ve left my best years here and I’m under a lot of stress (to total numbness) because I still haven’t found another job. Are there any more of you expecting to be fired and you haven’t found an alternative?

Layoffs are happening and most of us will not get a stimulus check. Welcome 2021!
Stop worrying? I think there is a stigma associated with SWN and layoffs. When you hear someone say SWN, what’s the first thing that comes into your mind? Ok, after the cheesy fake teeth CEO dweeb... yes, layoffs. Industry laughing stock. And then layoffs again. Most places aren’t SWN. Most places you don’t have to worry about layoffs every stinking moment because of inept leadership.
Stop worrying about layoffs which are a reality no matter where you go. If you’re that stressed out then jump ship before you’re pushed off and especially if you think it’s sinking. You’re just going to make yourself miserable listening to rumors and being on edge, make sure to cut back now on spending to make it until you land another gig. The job market due to the pandemic is not pretty so be content, do your job, and maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones.
Can confirm this as a true. Way has done these Christmas parties each year for a “select” few close knit crowd. Something crazy like this happens each time. Surprised someone “leaked” it though as it is understood to keep these parties “hush hush”.
I can confirm that layoffs are in less than 2 weeks. Not many folks know this, but Way had a “secret society” pre Christmas party at his digs and I’m friends with one of the participants. He had a little too much of the Wine spritzers, and accidentally leaked the details. The other funny thing my buddy told me was that at the party someone snuck up to the upstairs guest room and left a huge toilet clogger that overflowed the toilet and t–d water was leaking through the can lights into the kitchen onto the charcuterie board. So funny that this happened at Ways house. Haha.
Blah Blah Blah! Quit you F——- whining. Week after week day after day folks keep saying layoffs happening soon . Gonna be on Thursday oops I mean Friday well maybe it’s Monday. Just do your f—— job and quit worrying about what you can’t control! Most of the folks on this site are just full of c-apola! Peace and Happy New Year!
I have a job lined up starting 2/1/21. Easy to remember. Gonna get the severance package whatever it is and stash it in the bank to our annual family vacation to Disney. So an early thanks to SWN for what will be a great family vacation!
I was terminated today, prior to the New Year. I guess for tax and/or end of year headcount purposes. No bonus, and only 2 weeks severance. Brutal. I was planning on a Happy New Year, but I guess not. So long everyone!
