To try and get you off the computer and back to work. Although I don’t think they can get that done either.
Uppr 2022 off the rails on flaming train. You know what I mean.
It’s not going where, Psr 2020 Uprr is committed it’s an evergreen never ending process.
If the Conductors are still riding on trains in 2 years I would be amazed. Things are changing fast guys get ready.
As long as the investors and execs think its a success things won’t change. We might as well face the fact that things will never be the same any class 1 again. Even if PSR fails, the company won’t suddenly revert back to how it operated pre-PSR. The rail companies are going to drastically change in the next 10-15 years with the advent of artificial intelligent and technological advances in robotics. There may come a day when all maintenance and mechanical are contracted out, and trains will be remotely ram with no crews. For those that say this will never happen, there were also many that said cabooses would never go away, fireman and brakemen would never go away, distributed technology would never work, remote control would go away, etc. Change is going to happen regardless of how we feel. Smart employees will prepare for the coming changes by making sure you have a skill, education, or nest egg to fall back on. Don’t think you will not be let go, we are all nothing but expendable assets to any company. When you stop being an asset, or they can eliminate the need for you, they will escort you out the door and not think twice about doing it.
G56 and/or Unified Plan 2021 or some other stupid catchy slogan.
They want their Chinese Indentured Servants back. Congress will rule in their favor, and the unions will tell you, "Be lucky you have a job, they can do that."
Don’t worry. Just when you think it can’t get any worse, they will figure out another way to make things worse.
What makes you think this is the end game?
They will play it off like it was a huge success. They will try to get new employees to fill the jobs that were cut, but they will have to tie it to huge sign on bonuses, again. Everyone is getting wise to their load of c-ap, except themselves. They think this was a success, and to the top few and the investors, it was, they got their huge bonuses and stocks. The countdown is started for the golden parachutes to deploy, hope some of them fail as bad as PSR did and they splatter like the t–ds that UP has become.
