I swore I wouldn't go back after the way we were treated, but with the job market being what it is and having no luck these past 2 months I'm unfortunately considering applying in January if I haven't found a permanent position by then. I've never gone this long between jobs and I'm starting to get really stressed out about it. RJ is my last resort and I'm doing everything that I can to avoid it right now, but I can't continue like this for much longer.

That's a big NO - while there are very trustworthy colleagues whom I miss a great deal, I wouldn't even consider it..
This is not the first time I've been through a RIF. The first time I cried and was so devastated and surprised and angry and 'never going back to the corporate world....ever' and so on. This time, I know who I am and where I'm going. You will find another role, so don't lose hope. Give yourself time to 'regroup and heal' ... PEACE.....
I can feel for you. I am in a position where I am pulling the retirement trigger. I know many of the 550 let go aren't in that position. After 10 years of loyalty, long hours, weekend work, night work I have zero trust in RJ management. If anyone goes back go with your eyes wide open. Don't let your sick time accumulate, don't trust anyone, just go to work, put in your time and shutdown your laptop. I would also strongly suggest you not put email on your phone.
To answer your question - no, I would not go back. I simply do not trust them anymore.

If there were jobs for my positions I would apply but seems lots of those jobs have disappeared at RJ for good. Many of us were laid off in basically the same position but with different teams. I still have not found a job because those jobs don't come easily around here. Almost no jobs and lots of us applying for them. I wonder if will need to relocate.
