Kroger no longer provides paid time off to employees who test positive for the coronavirus or who had been exposed to someone infected and need to quarantine.
Really??? Is this true? I just saw this on CNBC.
Luckily, I left the company on time and I was lucky to find a new job, however, I am still under the impression of everything that is happening at Kroger.
Kroger does pay for positive covid19 (test) and time off. The grey area is if you are waiting for a test or quarantine on doctor's orders and comes back negative, you don't get paid.
I know clerks who worked until they got the positive result. They couldn't afford to not get paid. Yes worked and exposed customers and employees. The kroger policy is because we wear masks, it is business as usual. We are doing holiday walks! With covid19 out of control.
