Thread regarding Synchrony Bank layoffs

I'm guessing there will be layoffs, even if the economy turns around. This economic crisis will have a long tail that will go on for years. Synchrony, like all companies has been forced to think about the long term impact to the business. They've implemented WFH which will control real-estate costs, but that tactic has a limited return. Employees are the biggest expense and offer the biggest upfront cost reduction. Layoffs are inevitable. Technology and automaton will be used across the board. A.I. will eventually reduce headcount and FinTech will automate most processes and decisions.
