Thread regarding a2z layoffs

Corporations and Politicians say: Be thankful you have a job, BUT NO reimbursing staff for added expenses or Gov tax relief for added expenses

As more companies are looking to move to a 60-75% work from home, there needs to be a discussion regarding such things as the cost associated upgrading your PC/Laptop printer, printer paper and ink, upgrading Wi-Fi, running up your electric bill, and using up note books, pens postage and other supplies.
As for taxes YOU CAN'T claim these new expenses you are facing. The 2017 tax reform law eliminated tax payers claiming itemized deduction for unreimbursed business expenses, including expenses for the business use of part of your home unless self-employed. Also, certain states have reciprocity agreements in place so that if you live in one and work in another, you won't have a second state tax bill on your hands. Not sure how these states are going to treat it if you are working from the same state your are working in or if you going to a satellite site closer to your home but in a state with no such agreement.
