Interesting enough BH was laying off people in 1999 and on 32k workforce. Pre 911 the oil industry was shight. BH has 70k workforce today in a more vial time. Gasoline is only 50 cents more today than of 1999.
50 percent in 5 years is wishful thinking. The business will bankrupt before then.
I hear one of the business will be sold off. They couldn't get done in time for thise year.
Pressure control was an easier sell, so they pick the low lying fruit first.
One organization already re-shuffled as a preperation.
Tulsa had yet another round of layoffs yesterday.
OKC drilling services will be closing and moving to other locations. Everyone to be let go.
The plan is for 50% reduction of Service Delivery workforce within the next 5 years.
