Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

Brain drain at GE Healthcare, very non-inclusive workplace

There are a lot of talented people being let go and others choosing to leave on their own.

There is no innovation happening and many projects are being delayed or sc-apped altogether. Oh, but the crack HR staff who is not responsive will be sure to get the FedEx shipping boxes to you a week after you have been informed of being let go. GE is not the iconic place to build a career. GE Healthcare HR are a bunch of young dolts including Kurglova.

Send out some more useless workplace culture surveys via email.

GEHC is not a very inclusive work atmosphere, and they know it. There are much better places to build a career where you will be a part of a team. Besides why would you want to work at a Company that lays people off at least once every year? Annual layoffs and sometimes more than that.

GE=No innovation, just trying to survive. Upper management is looking out for themselves!

Unfortunately management due to cost never appreciated their senior employees. They looked at cost. Hire interns is good, but without seasoned employees how will they get up to speed. Many managers feel they are the smartest in the room. Smart maybe, but experienced employees are worth their wait in gold, even if 60 plus. Why VRIP? Keep your talent when applicable and try to push the burnt compromised individuals to a better place for them and the company!

Leadership is supposed to provide vision, systems and support to the people who are actually executing. Leadership is extremely poor in GE Healthcare especially Digital. Leadership talks big about strategy but do not know how to execute nor do they provide a vision that is possible with the people on roster. They do not even listen to the talented employees. Too many beaurocrats and not many technocrats in a place that should place heavy emphasis on good technology. What happened to the good old days when leaders were technocrats, brilliant product managers who were in tune with what the market wants.

Not inclusive? It's part of how every team leader is measured. They just assigned a diversity senior leaders. We have diversity town halls, leadership program for women and all of our leadership and coaching materials centers around diversity and inclusion. Not sure what your expectations are here but I think GE like most companies likely went overboard on diversity.

Maybe you expect equal outcome and not just equal opportunity?

Good thing GE cut the leadership program. I was sick of VPs in their 20s telling everybody what not to do.

People who progress at GE are those who are good at looking good at what they do. Whether they are actually good at what they do is not nearly as important.

Agree with you. Diversity comes in more than two colors and diversity is not just about color.
