If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be BHP Billiton Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

So theres approx 45 positions in the new org up from 30ish previously, where are these B$C savings again??? We don't have the portfolio to support this organization, what will Stephen Fyfes team be doing, surely thats PCOE scope. Or maybe for the first time PET PS are being smart (unlikely) thinking we will go up to 45 then when Petroleum cuts there 20% we will then shrink back 30 something ??? Doesnt seem right this new org.
Looks like we have some new hires, poor b@stards have no idea what they’re letting themselves in for. Let the BHP brainwashing begin...!!!
DM and LS put out to pasture in the conceptual estimating world so we are no longer interested in investing. Doesn’t look good does it...!!! Move over dinosaurs our 40 something entitled high potentials are coming thru...!!!
People gushing over Trion the flagship project cracks me up. Pemex a “reasonable” partner??? Y’all about to be mugged by epic proportions...!!!
Any word on how many geoscientists have been or planned to be cut in the reorg?
Harsh but fair 😂😂😂
I know people on crack that make more sense than the leadership of this place ...!!!
She doesn’t know what she is doing, arrogant, ignorant and incompetent...!!!
Her boss embarrassed herself at an AACE gathering last year brazenly admitting she knows nothing about project controls. But she drinks coffee on stage and has a profile pic from 20 years ago so very cool... give me strength...!!!
Carnage in project services today, that id–t HOPS doesn’t know what she is doing but that’s nothing new. Her id–t boss is no better, you reap what you sow.
The re-org continues... the L3 positions have be announced. The L4 and L5 contributor levels will be coming during March/April. The 20% RIF still stands and will be complete by June 30, 2021.
How many people in petroleum does that 20% represent?
Yes, confirmed. It was announced at a virtual town hall yesterday.
Confirmed? Nothing in the press. Hanging off the mining balance sheet was only going to last so long, not surprising really.
Bhp announced 20% cut in petroleum
