Laying people off, closing sites and jumping on the bandwagon of lean is not any way to turn a company around. Don't get me wrong, the layoffs and site closures are way overdue. Lean when done correctly is good (if not great). But, GE is still missing the focus on its number one piece, its EMPLOYEES!. Get with it and focus on your employees. Without dedicated, involved respected employees (throughout the organization not just at the top or a spattering here and there), whatever Culp is trying to do (which is really drive the stock price so he gains), will not work. So don't believe it until you hear that the employees en masse are with it
