How are the other stores doing? We are loosing a lot of long time employees to other companies willing to pay more. This is putting a real strain on those of us that are still hanging on. Most people are feeling like most managers dont value them or the hard work that is being done. And why the hell are we open on Thanksgiving? Especially when other big box stores are closing on Thanksgiving!!!

I worked for Cabela’s for almost 12 years and I saw the changes. When I first started working there we were family and the employees were part of the family and were considered important. When I left there 2 years ago after the take over the last 2 years they could give a care about the employees, if you quit they just brought in another body. They had a revolving door. Made sick.

Managers at Cabela's couldn't care less about the hourly employees. As long as the managers get their annual bonuses, that's all they care about. They're counting on long time employees to quit so that they can replace them with dummies that they can pay a lot less. That's more saving in payroll to go towards those bonuses. Hopefully this company goes out of business in the near future.
