Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Which way?!

I don't get it. We've had a visionary CEO lacking the leadership to make-follow. Before and after, we had a caretaker who did have the leadership and gravitas, but did not give a noticeable steer. Now we get one with a strong operational focus, preferred over a CRO with an even stronger one, who had already delivered to the company - but the new resets our direction basically to playing catch-up, rather than aiming to be what made us - a market leader in our niche. And then we hire a chief strategist who is supposed to give us a strategy, but heard none of it yet. I am well and truly confused.

Did SB ever mention/put in action any plan to continue our 4-th year of transformation and turn TD story around? He is a nice guy, professional but at that level u have to execute influence. SM may have a plan , unfortunately one that may bring pain to rank and file... This is how extinction process feels like from within

Already delivered for the company? Have you looked at quarterly revenue and YOY quarterly revenue growth trends during his tenure? With results like these, I doubt he voluntarily left because he wasn't promoted to CEO; it seems to me that he was asked to leave.

The new CSO is probably as baffled by it all as the rest of us.
