I tried using PUA after EOG laid me off but it turns out I can’t legally claim I’m an independent contractor because everything about my relationship with EOG violates state law as to what an independent contractor is. Another oil and gas conglomerate lying to their “contractors” and the IRS to exploit federal and state tax law. They get their profits and screw the little guy. If only I had known. Now we both owe fines and fees for violations so I’m holding out reporting it hoping I get my job back
