@bn1 - "Mentioned they don’t plan on touching the pension". Hmmm .... I remember all of the VP and President Forums where they said that they had no plans for layoffs or headcount reductions, when everyone knew what the increase in the NSI bucket really meant.
I was selected to attend, but had to decline due to other work coming up. Declined on Monday.
I was there. 100 people were invited. He didn’t give too much additional information that you aren’t aware of. No big announcement was made. I thought it was a good speech overall. Main takeaways that people on this site will care about:
- Mentioned they don’t plan on touching the pension
- Mentioned he is meeting with the board next week to discuss the results of the US study and that we (the employees) will hear the results “shortly after”
- Mentioned no 401k match “for a few years”
I was not selected. Got email later yesterday saying that i was not “randomly” selected. I am sure they did randomly choose from a very carefully chosen set of safe managers

Yes, even after it is posted can somebody just give us a summary so we don’t have to lose 1 h of our time to cringe worthy remarks..
I’m not sure anyone was actually selected to attend in person. I think that was all BS. I’m sure they are editing the video now and will send out shortly
