Simple request - if you feel the need to b**ch about your job, go tell your SO. If you have actual layoff news, post it here on thelayoff. Given that the latest 257 posts have had nothing to do with actual layoff news, I'm thinking of starting a new website entitled actuallythelayoff.

The thing is, this is not a board about layoffs. It is a place for employees that are unhappy with their jobs, salaries, and lives in general to come so they can find other such employees to agree with them. Is the whole world really against you? When you look for faults in other people, do you simply ignore your own? Until you take responsibility for yourself, you will never get out of the hole you are in.
This is one of the most active boards out there. We wish people could give more information on org charts, etc. But that is probably confidential info.
Join a board about layoffs and are surprised by the negative comments.
It's almost the cognitive dissonance that makes VH and the EC think the APC acquisition was smart.

Here or FB, people will moan and gripe. Their troubles are always someone else's fault.
My suggestion for OP is to limit your visits here to once or twice a month to see if there is any real news or information. I do,
and I can tell you there usually is not.
OP: Maybe you should just stay on FB?
