I've been hearing rumors that if any more stores close down, they won't enter liquidation. However, would there still be any indications the stores are closing on the job listing website? And if so, what stores will be on the next list? I've also heard rumors that the next closing list will have all stores, but if it doesn't, which stores will specifically close down? My only guess is the Hyannis, Massachusetts Kmart, due to it being right across from a Target.

Is there a list of closing Auto Centers?
In some places such as Chicago and Burlington VT, Sears has kept auto centers open after closing the department stores.
Greensboro automotive is closing.
They are closing house on a number of Sears auto centers quietly including the one in Brockton-MA, Marlborough-MA.
Thank you for the quick confirmation. I gotta get back to cooking my schnitzel.
Yes.. pinky swear.....i work at Hoffman in ops.
Pinky swear?
May 2021 last round....
@1ucc+17ukOknK I think the question is more of when instead of if at this point. I think we're all just looking for a date in particular.
@1vaw+17ukOknK: I'm curious why until June 2021?
Thats spot on....goods in stores such as polos are sold at Walmart as well as shoes.....wind it down until june just 8 months ...easy
The footprint is so tiny now Eddie can just buy stuff destined for other stores going bankrupt to shore up the shell. Some of this stuff is already at Kmart in softlines. Some semblance of an operation probably has to be carried on until between June and August to avoid certain lawsuits relating to the hometown purchase.
It's been EXTREMELY quiet as far as closings go so I'm wondering if it's the final countdown. Suddenly my store is hiring people, yet they keep sending people home early due to a lack of sales.
Is there a Sears or Kmart store that's open now? Yeah, they're closing. There's your list.
The job listings website seemed to get a lot more jobs over the weekend. A lot of them say seasonal or part time. Wonder if those are going to turn into more closings? There’s about 7-8 Kmarts and a dozen or so Sears.
Pier one had rugs.......again joint venture...Gordon Brothers and others....... no one is going to put goods in sears or kmart as it will be stolen or rung incorrectly....
Pier one chapter 11, lord and Taylor chapter 11,Stein mart chapter 11.. as a result liquidation firms use there own staff to watch what is being rung in as they have control...not sears or k mart no,access to inventory and out of date systems.
Next question know it all......stfu and move on to a site you know more about....
"Some liquidation companies bring in inventory but with todays covid/elections issues not worth risk"
Nonsense...both Stein Mart and Lord & Taylor's liquidations are RIFE with liquidator c-ap.
"hearing rumors" aka read it on a post here. Your post is just another repeat of posts already posted.
If people don't have anything new to say why keep starting posts.
Self close the latest trend ie GNC or Dress Barn with offsite liquidation support. The problem is no inventory to sell for liquidation companies to take a piece of. No major fixture sales to take a piece of,no inventory to augment or add to sale. Some liquidation companies bring in inventory but with todays covid/elections issues not worth risk.. wind it down, transfer goods, sell the fork lifts and racks on your own and abandon building....... its over rover 10/4 over and out!!!
