Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Say Whatttt !!!! . I think we are back :)

Allscripts Associates:

This week, the sale of EPSi to Strata was officially finalized, and Allscripts announced the definitive agreement to sell the CarePort Health business to WellSky. We’re pleased to announce that, with these positive developments for our company, we are now in a position to pay back associates who were affected by the temporary salary reductions implemented earlier this year.

Payment dates for associates backpay are as follows:
• U.S. – Friday, Oct. 23
• Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore & Canada – Friday, Oct. 30
• Israel – Sunday, Nov. 1

This payback will be administered as one lump sum payment with all relevant taxes and retirement deductions applied. You must be an Allscripts employee on that date (or EPSi associate on October 15, 2020) to receive reimbursement.

Thanks to all of you who have stayed the course, battled through these tough times and remain committed to our organization. Your sacrifice and understanding have helped the company in its efforts to ensure financial wellness for all.

The shareholders thank you profusely for involuntarily ensuring there was enough cash around to keep AS alive long enough for PB to figure out how to re-start the stock buybacks that have continually depleted Allscripts capital and credit.
Your sacrifice is duly noted, and will be requested again once all the $ are blown desperately trying to pump up the stock.... again.

Celebrating the sell off of viable profit/revenue generators for a company that has been flatline in growth .... Isn't that the same as someone with leprosy celebrating when their arm and leg fall off? Got to love the fish lips...

When’s the next layoff based on the holy calendar?

Don’t think for a minute that Allscripts is back based on selling off Careport. A better comparison is delayed execution not a stay of execution. Look at the stock price over time, the financials, and sales. All the sale of Careport did was reset the doomsday clock to before Covid. Hope PB didn’t pin all the company hopes on Biden digging them out with some jacked up version of Obummercare.

What a bunch of f....ers. I've got a friend there that was just laid off this week after an effective 10% salary cut this year. (20% cut for 6 months) Won't be employed by the end of next week, so he's not getting the salary back. Probably going straight in his managers pocket as a bonus.

So happy I'm not there anymore. The grass truly is greener elsewhere.

I think a lot of people will jump ship, which is the reason for the “employed on this date” verbiage.. then again......

Fake post. They will purchase stock back..to artificially drive price up..making it look to the market they plugged all the holes... Unless you own 100k shares of stock .or more .u won't notice ... same failing leadership just the day is new.

While I think Allscripts Management from top down to Director level are a complete bunch of bozos who are inept at best and evil at worst, they did right by their employees this time.

Yes, it was on the backs of hundreds who were laid off this year (I was one of them). After many years of quality loyal service to the company I was let go "due to Covid" and have not been able to secure a job yet. So I absolutely could be bitter at the company and I hate what they did to hundreds of smart, hard-working people.

But they sold off part of their business, become more fiscally stable and paid back their employees that are still there. If they made good decisions they never would have been in this position in the first place, obviously, but they did what many companies who have had employees take pay cuts did not do, they made you whole again.

So instead of complaining again, be happy you have a job or while you still have one until another bade decision is made by the band of id–ts, start looking for a new one.

But you've all been complaining for months they "stole" your pay. Well, they gave it back. On to your next complaint. And yes I realize my post will get all dislikes. Pretty sure I won't lose any sleep over it.

@ofi+17sXJxBk - Considering that it's mostly US Employees that get RIF'd they've only got one week to fire everybody (October 23rd) that had a pay reduction. I don't see that happening since the last round of RIFs was just two weeks ago (September 30).

Then again, a lot of this years bizarre layoffs were completely outside of the Traditional Holy Calendar of Firing People that has held true for the past 15 years or so. The next "normal" Holy Calendar phase would be late November/early December - we'll have to see how that pans out.

“You must be an Allscripts employee on that date”

Make me wonder if a big lay-off is coming before that date. It should be all employees (including these impacted by last rounds of RIFs). They save even more if they do so before the date.
