Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

I Expect The Whining To Continue - It Wouldn't Be The Allscripts Layoff Forum Without It ;)

With the announcement that people who had pay reduced temporarily will be receiving back pay out in the open, I fully expect the usual crew of doomsayers and nitpickers who clearly hate their jobs but seem to not want to leave to continue the constant barrage of endless whining and uninformative negative posting about everything completely unrelated to Layoffs.

By all means, let's keep this forum as depressing and insipid as it has been for years. The chip-on-shoulder trolls need to step up their game now.

This place just wouldn't be the same without it. Carry on, whingers! ;)

[Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement of Allscripts' mismanagement practices, panicked flailing about as a business process, "bold strategy visions" (decision-making while under the influence of moldy bread and/or drain cleaner?), elimination of intelligent vital people in favor of low-pay drones, apparent move to have company sliced up like a pizza, or any of the other wonderful ideas that our C-Suite With A Combined IQ of 120 seem to constantly have.]

OP, you may be trying too hard! I enjoyed your post, but it was a bit unclear if you were going for a particular impression or, as a poster wrote, just ' s u c k ing on LKs toes'. (Which is a pretty hilarious visual, you must admit!

@gmh+17sQ1Ygy - That's the spirit! Completely off the rails complaining about LK and India without either of those subjects being involved OR the slightest sign that there is any comprehension of the concepts of cynicism or sarcasm. Secret hint: There are a few elements of both of those things in my post, maybe. Let the fires burn within you, you are the very soul of this forum!

@bfe+17sQ1Ygy - Nay. It was illuminated on a scroll by quill pen by candle-light, delivered to a press by carrier pigeon where it was linotyped and offset printed, the print was reduced in a copier then faxed via 28.8 baud to a transcriber who ran it through OCR software, dumped it to a Word file, and then mailed back to me on a USB Flash Drive where I just hit Copy and Paste in the word field thingy. I'm old fashioned like that, and can't really thumb type.

It's always amusing that there will inevitably be someone starting a thread who seems more interested in s—ing LKs toes than listening to other associates personal experiences and thoughts. I always wonder if this is the same guy telling executives what an amazing job, truly AMAZING!, the Indian teams are doing with our software that has been years in development for a very good reason: because creating software to be used by hospital clients requires knowledge of how each client performs their work. There are differences at each location, and we're expected to support that. I can't wait to read about the impact off-shore architects will have on these apps. Let's hope that they don't end up k–ling somebody. Odds are that they won't be held responsible because of lack of experience.
