I’ve heard rumors Exxon & Chevron are considering freezing their pension plans. You think HAL would do the same? Honestly when you look at some of the other companies would it even be a surprise? Exxon dumped the company match and we’re in rougher shape than them.

And I had my Christmas bonus of 2.5lbs of honey baked ham cut to zero in 2014.
Halliburton cut the match from 9% to 5% in the 2008 reession.
If Jeffry thinks that it will contribute to the bottom line (read the size of his bonus), he WILL not hesitate to do anything that makes his business acumen look good.
There is no love or loyalty to be found in any Fortune 500 company - it is strictly business.
Halliburton takes and takes and the employees get nothing but a cold phone call and email while IT is wiping out user privileges.
