Any news on cuts for IT in the USA? SBOs are being heavily promoted

What is going to happen to IT teams in the US? I work in IT should i should start looking elsewhere. It is obvious leadership is pushing SBOs, what is USA IT future outlook?

I work at XOM in IT. We have the same situation. Trying to move as much work as possible to our low cost IT locations. Houston based IT personnel are gonna be pushed out. Sad.

Even IT jobs that were placed in Houston as recently as late last year are being re-looked at to see if they can be replaced in SBOs working US hours due to the success of remote working these last 6 months i.e. IT jobs that some managers fought tooth-and-nail to put in the US last year are now being re-looked at in light of COVID.
