Southwest Airlines CEO just announced he will not do layoffs. He also announced he will not take a salary through 2021 and that his executives will take a cut. This is leadership. You succeed because of the people that work for you. It is a privilege to lead. Not a right. To hold a group together and motivate your team requires this kind of leadership. Recognizing and living this will lead to ethical and moral business leadership.

I agree with these comments. Then what happened to around 500 of us it happened, no way back. Then in the past I questioned why RJ did not offer some early retirement packages or some sort of temporary pay cuts to some of us or some other way to avoid the lay offs. Then I thought that if by laying off 500 of us then RJ will really be in a better position to survive and be a better place to work. I was not upper management, I was a low rank employee so for sure I don't know.
