Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

As Predicted... CarePort Sold. Impact?

Here's the press release straight from the Horses' Mouth:
https://investor.allscripts.com/news-releases/news-release-details/allscripts-sell-careport-health-business-wellsky

Sale Price: $1.35 BILLION Dollars

I must admit that this is way higher than anyone in their right mind had any reason to believe possible.

Now the only question is: Will Allscripts actually "...invest in its solutions, further deleverage the company’s balance sheet and support significant share repurchases."? Maybe start giving a c-ap about the regular working schlubs that made all of this possible?

So... ya sell Veradigm to the 2 Ukranians; then sell FMH/HG back to slick; then sell APM to a billing company; and give away 2peeprecise as a BOGO; what's left for Pune is the sunset of Sunrise!

I keep hearing that customers are 'leaving in droves', but wonder how many that actually would be. Especially given all the months of idiocy they've already had to deal with.

Meh only a matter of time before the inept leadership runs this ship back into the ground. They still have clients leaving in droves and an outdated tech stack. This changes nothing

@2ylf+17p3Oszs: So are you trying to say that Lisa's in the middle? I always figured there'd be a dom with leather and whip in that trinity.

When you're pulling in millions per year, I guess you have to keep things interesting. Maybe there'll be a movie!

LMAO!

Was anyone here able to keep their laptop on the way out the door? I just got a new job, but haven’t told them yet. I want to ask IT if I can keep it since it’s over the 4 year mark

I got laid off 10 days back , however I am happy today 😊.

Why ?????

  1. Good severance package, so I can relax a bit and upgrade my skills but more importantly spend time with loved ones.
  2. Work was like sh– in last 1 year so I am happy that I would join something meaningful and whats in demand.
  3. No more stress of getting laid off as this was a routine every quater.
  4. I opted for Stocks and contributed 20% and sold only few with an average price of $8.30, Today my investment jumped 39% and I hold 4800 stocks .I am just waiting for Veradigm announcement so the stock can go higher which should be pretty soon.Allscripts is a sinking ship but nothing wrong riding if you have lifeboat and life jacket 😉

So they laid off me 10 days ago.... but now they sell the company for 1.35B and couldnt retain employees from US. The layoff has made my life more stressful one as i am on work visa and i only have 50 days in this country, Wish Glen Tullman was still the CEO and not Paul Black...

Let’s face it... Allscripts was a crutch for Careport like they are for other trashed companies coming out of the healthcare data bubble. Allscripts would bend all sorts of crazy deals to get customers to sign with them. I’d bet Careport management is counting the days to the formal handoff if it hasn’t happened internally already. EPSi was the same way. They never respected PB, RP, or the Board.

It was around 8.50 before the sale and around 11 after.

@1dbs+17p3Oszs: It's good to know that we have such a mathematical adept sharing his insights here.

Please kind sir: could you help the rest of us by using actual numbers to differentiate between 50% and 100%? This would help us tremendously!

It does make you wonder a little though. Careport only made up 6% of Allscripts revenue. So why such a big pay out and stock bump besides?Something doesn’t add up. Suggest SEC look into that one along with the other investigations into Allscripts.

Scareport leadership must be breathing a sigh of big relief. They were struggling for a couple years with various issues integrating with Allscripts. Good for them. They get a fresh start with hopefully a better company and even better leadership.

I taste the salt from all the hater’s tears lol. This is such a spectacular move for Allscripts.

To the person trying to figure out what a 50% increase means; holy sh– you shouldn’t have a job at Allscripts or anywhere else that requires basic math skills.

Whatever the total profit ends up being, the utter CORRUPTION and greed demonstrated by the incompetent leadership of this company is absolutely stunning in its gall. How is it that these actions have no ramifications? Is our entire financial system that corrupt? I'm starting to think so.

"Incorrect stock is not up 50%. That would mean it’s trading up from $8 to $16."

Maybe I don't know how math works, but:
If a price is $8, then 50% would be $4. This would result in a total of $12, not $16. The amount of $16 is actually double the initial amount, making the percentage 100% increase.

Would this not be correct somehow? LOL

Allscripts shares rallied 50% after hours, following a 1.9% decline to finish. So they recouped half of what they were down. They share price didn't go up 50% though. The initial post stating stock was up 50% below is misleading.

Incorrect stock is not up 50%. That would mean it’s trading up from $8 to $16. It’s still trading in the $8 range. Investors aren’t going to be fooled by this sinking ship. If anything they are shorting this POS stock. Only a matter of time before PB runs this ship back down again. Don’t be fooled by one small “win”

Fire PB and LK! Where is the board at in this company! Do you not see the incompetence or are you too blinded by your paychecks for doing next to nothing and stock bonuses!
