I understand layoffs might be a necessity right now, but there are so many better ways to do this than the way General Atomics chose. They treated loyal employees like trash, like disposable goods that were once useful but can now be discarded without a second thought.
I'm betting you that after the dust settles, they're going to realize they made a huge mistake.
I work for a foreign company and they are the worst. Since labor laws in usa are easy compared to europe where everything is unionized, they layoff american workers first.
I thought there were more layoffs but a bunch of people are just putting in their 2 week notice. With layoffs and being in a pandemic people are still leaving GA. I will be putting my notice in next week. Don’t get angry if you were let go. Be joyful you were allowed to move in faster. My boss let the best analyst go on our team and she will probably be the next to go bc she doesn’t know how to do anything
I used to work there long time ago. Management don't know about managing people. Its a privately held company doing whatever they want. Not surprised about the layoffs here, but I see more coming.
