Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

YOUR BACK PAY WAS STOLEN NOT MISSING

You money was stolen if not repaid. The term missing is absolutely incorrect. A thing can't be termed missing if you know where it is ...
It will happen again.... Get out now.

@4mnd+17k21tDS:
Seriously, WTH are you talking about? Where do you draw the conclusion that someone who uses the word 'quit' doesn't actually mean to quit? Quitting actually makes sense if an associate has only been employed for a short period of time. They'll get pretty much nothing on the benefits side.

"If you were raised with zero values than you have a hard time understanding right from wrong."

And this has WHAT, exactly, to do with any of the posts? You're conclusions are more than a bit surreal.

Yes, hang in there and let them pull the plug on you and get the layoff package. You deserve something for your hard work. Unless, working there is it's too much too take or something better comes along.

Do not quit - just do your bare minimum and collect your pay. PB and LK want to drive you out and keep the lay-off package in their pocket.

I don't believe the term "quit" here is advocating quiting with no back plan. Employees have already experienced once ..putting in your hours expected. In some cases more...leadership took STOLE the pay earned. It is simple understanding . If you were raised with zero values than you have a hard time understanding right from wrong.

Ever since these posts about stolen money have gone up, I've wondered if employees who were promised a return of back pay, but never received it, could hire a lawyer for representation. It might be do-able if a large group organized to do this.

I've often wondered if that 2019 'Consulting' Company was actually TCS.
Tata has their claws in a huge number of companies. Even recruiting companies that used to be staffed by competent citizens are now all Indian.

I remember the times when I could actually build long-term relationships with recruiters who understood their market, their clients, and their potential hires... and treated each respectfully. Now that's all gone to #h e l l#, and it's a d a m n shame.

Lets not forget, Allshits problems have nothing to with Coronavirus. They started years before with their scheme to recklessly buy up companies with no strategy on how to build them out and make them profitable. On paper and in quarterly calls they dressed things up to make these purchases seem like they'd set us apart from the Competition. MDRX hired the Consulting firm in 2019 who advised to start cutting heads, reduce Services, and peel away each Division one by one. They are using COVID as an excuse and the timing is convenient but these plans were in the works long before we knew about COVID 19.

Or prevail long enough for businesses to recover from coronacrisis.

Quitting only benefits Paul and Lisa, so they can deposit more cash into their investment accounts.

By NOT quitting, you at least increase the likelihood of getting some money for each year you've worked. You also get a bit more time to get signed up for insurance using COBRA.

So don't hand them YOUR remaining benefits that were hard-earned. Maximize the possibility of remaining income because you don't know how bad things might be getting.

There's a lot of good information on the internet. Read through, take notes, and plan for what you need to do/ask from the HR people who will be aggressively 'encouraging' you to just sign the paperwork. The HR staff doing layoffs are NOT nice and are trained in intimidation. It might not be a bad idea to hire a local attorney specializing in worker rights, etc.. just to make sure you're treated right.

Ticked off at being robbed has nothing to do with instability.

To be honest, it's made me wonder if there isn't a winnable lawsuit with what they've done to employees. Especially since it's extremely likely that not everyone got a long term pay cut. That's pretty criminal behavior.
