More laid off this past week. 😭
Is anything happening on this ? Would expect "incentive to leave by year end" type of offerings...
That is a nefarious operating system
The reason it is so quiet is that the company is being very secretive lately. They seem to be picking on higher salaried people, and placing them on Performance Review for no reason. No warning, no prior issues, just a call 1 day saying they are on performance review. Buy putting a 30-60 day deadline in they can move a lot of people out legally. But it seems more and more people are getting reviewed for little or almost no reason and that will clean out a percentage without looking like it's a huge RIF. Stock Market doesn't react well to huge RIF well.
They get away with it by forcing you to sign an agreement to get your package vs. years in service. People don't want to lose that so they sign away and get dumped. It should be illegal but it isn't. Companies have been doing this for a long time everywhere. Unless you believe you have a powerful lawsuit case. So if you have the potential of getting 30 plus months of pay, plus benefits, you tend to sign your legal rights away to fight age or any other discrimination. They also are allowed Unemployment if they stay quiet and basically take the package vs. being fired. You are at their whim. 'Let's Make a Deal" time. Let us screw you for accepting our generous bribe.
So wait until they are done with their secret RIF ( AKA Performance Reviews ) and they will begin pushing anyone else out. Any upcoming RIF numbers will not show PIP review cuts so the numbers will reflect more positively on the company publicly.
Very quiet on this topic
Why anticipate layoffs? Just br prepared for the worst case scenario
