Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

We need a new ELT

Fire the entire top management in Teradata first. Once you have done that may be we can hire some good people who know what they are doing to help Teradata.

I couldn't agree more! This leadership has proven to be completely incapable of running this company without completely destroying it in the process. What is it that needs to happen for somebody to realize that's where the change should happen first???

Until the uninspired, lack-luster, non-assertive Board all resign there will be few (if any) changes to the ELT. There is WAY too much coziness between the ELT & the Board to result in any meaningful change.

Too bad, because the technology is still amazing ... in spite of all the management overhead and missteps.

The new CEO already outed himself as a fraud when he declared zero tolerance for discrimination, then encouraged everyone over 55 to leave.

Apart from ELT. How about fixing this

Consultant->Manager->Practice Partner -> Senior Practice Partner -> Region EVP -> CRO -> CEO

Why do we need such a structure ?? And we are talking about cost issues. At the end fire the consultants only.

too early for that, at least for the new CEO. The rest of the ELT, well maybe.. Let the new ones in the ELT prove themselves first.. and judge them after a year or so

If Moses were on the ELT, you would have seen a miracle by now!

Other than Moses, the entire elt is new within 24 months. What magic are you expecting? TDC is a dead platform and a dead company. Take the check for as long as you can

Unfortunately, the board of directors are complicit with the ELT.
