Open new Hometowns? Are they doing that well? Then again, from the same company which rebooted Homelife after how well it did the first time.

Sadly, whoever is the idea person has poor ideas. All of the strengths that Sears once had have been peddled away. The once great Iconic proprietary brands are available at Lowes, Ace, and True Value. Lampert still holds Kenmore but it’s appliances can now be purchased at Lowe’s. Craftsman Tools, outdoor equipment including a much better line of Tractors and walk-behind mowers Lowe’s and ACE. Even TrueValue carries Diehard battery chargers, and Kenmore BBQ grills.

The Little Sears store in our town I think was privately owned. The family had been there a long time. Longer than I have lived there. Are not in the store anymore. Now there are kids with chew in their mouth and baseball caps on that barely greet you. The store was half empty and dirty. I bought my washer at Lowes. They had it in stock and delivered free.

Sears , Lambert lost their edge. No one will shop at a new Sears small size store. Why? There are too many other place to buy the same thing, Sears has lost its niche. Ruined a brand name, and lost the very people who built it up. With his poor management style.

They had a headhunter call you? Were they afraid to talk to you directly? It costs them more to offer jobs through headhunters.

It’s legit, they had a headhunter call me about it lol, I used to work at HE.

Apparently they’re rolling out SYW2 soon and want to clean up on the analytics which makes sense. We were by far the most profitable part of this dumpster fire!

Could be a ploy to give prospective franchise buyers of transitioning (i.e. for sale or closed) Hometown Stores that Sears is actually going ahead with that. But the major complaint that the former or soon to be former franchisees have had is inability to get product, and, of course, competition with internet promotions from Sears.

“..the Transformco Deep Learning Center Team..” hopes to learn (why the current business model has failed miserably)

The answer is not deep at all, but it does require a mirror.

Odd, they have 56 stores where owners walked and they can’t give them away. They have closed several hundred of HTS in the last few years , why look at new openings? They can’t seem to do anything right. Stores can’t even get inventory.
