No one, and I mean NO ONE is safe at staples. This is a sinking ship, like the Titanic, only worse. There are zero lifeboats. And before you ask, I am a current employee. I’ve seen people who spent years with this company laid off, and I’ve seen newcomers shown the door not even a year into their employment. If you think you are irreplaceable, keep thinking that until your number is called. Staples is not discerning on who they let go unless you’re brass from the top.

It’s a real shame to see what Staples has become. But it’s a big world out there with lots of opportunities. Don’t waste your time in a place where your contribution is unappreciated and you live in fear everyday of losing your job. And don’t hang about waiting for a package - SP is too smart/corrupt an organization to hand much out. Take a good look at the opportunities out there and be willing to take the leap. You’ll be moving in the right direction and a lot happier.
