Thread regarding JetBlue Airways Corp. layoffs

Why?

Why keep senior employees when one employee can be replaced by 2 to 3 contract workers? With no obligation to pay health benefits, 401K, or even flight benefits?

It makes perfect business sense to me. And they don’t have a union to protect their position. It was inevitable for this change to occur. JB will do whatever it takes now to stay afloat.

They better do it fast. Their stock is approaching the pandemic lows of March 2020.

Absolutely agree. As the pandemic continues to impact JB big changes need to be made. Too many employed for so few flights. Goal is to keep the company viable. Carrying a bunch of highly paid front line workers won’t keep the company in business.
