I am hearing news of lay offs in GTCHE org of VTT. Is it true? If so, any idea on what is the criteria they are using to decide who to lay off?

They posted two messages about this on blind. Unfortunately blind is not reliable and also seems to be monitored by HR. If you have access to blind, take a look. I didn’t see anything specific As far as number of employees/location but definitely layoffs seems to be happening in this org.

HR did research and says we're overstaffed vs comp (AMD Radeon group does more with less staff). Cuts are only in US, BA is hiring meanwhile..
