How Often Are The Mass Layoffs At Shell- Historically

Any thoughts on how frequent 1000+ job cuts are at Shell. I know the last big one was in 2015,16

I worked for Shell for 21 years and was let go in 2016. I do not feel sorry for anyone at Shell about to get cut. It’s an arrogant company with too much politics.

I worked for Shell for 19 years and was laid off in 2015, during that time period there where MANY lay-offs, I just so happened to get caught up in the year Shell loss their butts in Alaska & the purchase of BG. It was great company, but your hard work, value and loyalty, not to mention the investment they put into you during that time doesn't mean jack to them. I must have heard the line " We wont ever cut that deep again" umpteen times from senior managers after every single layoff. I think they are headed for a major accident due to the loss of experience and their arrogant attitude.

Since I’ve been here, we’ve had major layoffs in 2015/16, 2009/10, 1998, and several smaller-scale layoffs in between.

Major ones every 4-5 years. Mini ones 2-3 years.

Probably have a few major ones over the next 2 years.
