More layoffs announced. Details are coming. Glad I’m gone from this place. I feel bad for people still there.

Is the OP wrong about this? I’m not hearing anything about layoffs. I’m a technician in the middle of the country and no word. Maybe it’s only certain areas.
Are layoffs really coming? I see where there are 2 weeks of furlough required but no layoffs. The service teams already run a skeleton crew. Not sure how Ricoh is going to be able to keep letting people go and still take care of the customers. Maybe this is all part of the “transformation”.

I still work here and I’ve heard nothing about layoffs. Yes, 2 weeks of furlough before the end of the year. Also, not heard anything about outsourcing. Wouldn’t surprise me, but haven’t heard anything.
Layoffs at Ricoh, or just in general? Specifics would be nice.

I am not surprised. The economy is in shambles. September was a bad month for sales from what I saw and it was supposed to be the one of the busiest months of the year. I keep hearing about lockdowns coming again which would not be good. More locations could close. I just wish management would tell us what is really going on instead of people having to learn from other sources. I guess few people like myself have researched information online that no one is telling the employees. I think management knows what's going on. They are just leaving everyone else in the dark.
