So much for for being inclusive and one team. IT has an outage and Anadarko gets the blame. Luckily Oxy IT are so wonderful they spring to the rescue. Hooraaay for Oxy. WE ARE OXY!! If Oxy are so brilliant why did we pay Chevron a billion to go away and then pay way over the top for a company whose assets we need to sell to pay for the deal? Kool Aid will now be served twice a day to keep everyone happy.

@tul+17d01LNc RIO.. what a MESS.
The issue Oxy has never figured out is that systems aren't the problem. They are tools. Instead you have a megalomaniac CIO and a illiterate EC that think slapping new systems in will magically fix their process and problems.
Instead, you get the same sh– out of a new system since the data going in is still sh–. Basically a make work scheme for the bloated management and department.... And the rest of the company suffers.
Thank God for the 9 layers of management. Otherwise the problem would have never been fixed!
Oxy is just the worst oil company
I worked for Enron (EOG) and even they were a better company than this bunch
OXY is an oligarchy. When the people at the top are buddy buddy and getting rich no one is going to be honest with each other and rock the boat. No one is going to mention failure even if the company is damned. They are living in Kool-Aid land, so far from the typical worker bee.
I think oxy folks are realizing oxy isn’t all that after all
Oxy staff are repugnant people with low morals and tend to telling lies when they get boxed into a corner
What a f—ing awful company to work for
Is VH on crack or what - She should be concentrating on driving safely not drifting off into weird dreams involving John Lennon
Maybe she was doing the same when she was negotiating with Warren? Was she listening to "Do it to me one more time?"
Did Rio go away or is it still active?
I don't understand how APC systems gets blamed when legacy Oxy systems are older than most employees.
Integrations were always put in the background vs RIO even when it was clear it wasn't nearly as business critical as other items. But LOXY IT staff want to keep their job, so its always blame the new guy and their stuff. When in reality it was LOXY staff not listening to integration advice from anyone with LAPC background.
Yes I am bitter because this was completely avoidable. And if we learned anything, its that LAPC will be blamed for failures, not Oxy.
All that needed to be said was that a conflict of systems occurred triggering systematic shutdowns or errors. We are working to resolve the issue to avoid further down time. Blame of any system or hardware (regardless of legacy identity) is moot when you have already deemed integration a success.
Eff this place.
Oxy is a company of low IQ bigots who think they can get away with anything.
someone didn't pay their internet bill. not enough cash left?
