The pension plan ended way before I was offered the VERP.
No one cares about anyone still working at ADP. Period. ADP is a joke of a company and the employees should know that they will get used and tossed out like used toilet paper.
I have to agree with the poster. The VERP was meant to entice older employees to retire and was more effective than ADP had expected. However, the large increase, if we were to extend medical coverage for the last 3 months of this year was quite a jump. I know for the Family plan I was looking at a 300+% increase. This was way beyond what I was comfortable with. So, thank you, but no thanks!
Wow. Little sharp on the comments. I think the OP was just shocked at the reality that IS health care in the US. No reason to get all pissy about the VERP. As far as I know, those that took the VERP didn't end the pension, ADP ended the pension. The VERP was a GREAT deal for us that took it, no question about that. Which is why so many did, much to ADPs surprise and dismay.
Yeah that’s the price ADP paid for however many decades you were with ADP. Plus omg verp had 2 years of coverage subsidized!!!! Plus other advantages...Holy hell
The VERP deal was 24 months at company subsidized rate. A lot better deal than having to pay usual COBRA rate from the beginning. 3 extra months at the non-subsidized rate. That was quite clearly stated in the offer. It's your choice to accept it or not.
You chose to retire. You ended the pension plan for those still working. You come here to cry about still being eligible for health benefits?
